Shoot The Butterfly
Today's polish, CrowsToes Shoot The Butterfly, was part of this year's spring collection, which is perfect for a polish dedicated to a butterfly, but I'd say the colors look more like fall, don't they?
Shoot The Butterfly has a black jelly base with medium orange hexes, small white hexes and tiny holographic glitters (I guess, they're hexes too, they're to small to check). I expected it to be very sheer, but it was opaque after three coats, which is, in my eyes, not too bad for a jelly. The colors match the monarch butterfly exactly. Shoot The Butterfly dries a little gritty, I added one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top topcoat for a smooth finish.
On my accent nail I used three coats of China Glaze Harvest Moon (Capitol Colours Collection), an orange foil polish, and added a butterfly wing pattern with Bundle Monster plate BM-424, a dotting tool and black and white stamping polish. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top provided a shiny finish.
Crows Toes polishes are available at Llarowe, Shoppe Eclecticco and Overall Beauty.
Love love this manicure!! I´m actually not a fan of orange on the nails but you´re really making me reconsider this. ^^
ReplyDeleteEspecially the wing turned out gorgeous. :)
Thank you so much! Actually, this is the only orange polish in my stash, I'm not too fond of orange, either ;-)
DeleteOkay, this is favorite mani you have EVER done. And that's a major feat considering everything you do is gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, thank you so much for this awesome compliment, Melissa!
DeleteWow, your accent nail is amazing. I literally gasped out loud when I saw it. Well well WELL done. I feel like such a noob now, with my dummy nail art.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Melissa! Honestly, stamping and tape manis are the only techniques I'm good at. Just never ask me to do a freehand mani, I guess any little girl could do it better ;-)
DeleteJust beautiful and Shootthe Butterfly has a special place in my heart - it was one of M's favorites :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Christine! M. had good taste. Obviously, I mean, he chose you :-)
DeleteThe accent nail really compliments the polish you used, stunning!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like it, thank you Deborah.
