Today's mani as a variation of the textured tape mani I showed you back in july, I used two polishes I bought in Oslo which match not only in color, but in name, too.
The base color I used is GOSH Ocean, a frosty duochrome shifting from aqua to turquoise. The color shift is not too obvious, but still visible. Formula of Ocean really surprised me, I expected it to be thin and sheer, as most drugstore brand duochromes are. But it's a little thick (in a easily managable way) and completely opaque in two coats.
After speeding up drying time with one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri, I placed some striping tape on my nails, added one thick coat of IsaDora Ocean Crush, and immediately removed the tape. Ocean Crush is a turquoise textured polish with lots of tiny golden glitters.
I didn't add any topcoat, as I wanted to keep the textured effect of Ocean Crush.
I never get tired to see your striping manis and I love the way you play with finishes here!!! I cannot believe that I first could not wait to get this Isadora and I still haven't worn it - shame on me - en schöne Tag <3
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, almost my entire untried stash consists of polishes I absolutely "needed", and then I let them sit in my drawer for ages, because I got new beauties... ;-)

Dann drücke ich die Daumen, dass du nicht mehr lange darauf warten musst. Ich liebe Tape Manis, da braucht man kein künstlerisches Talent, das fehlt mir nämlich weitestgehend ;-)
