Royal And Ethereal
This mani contains one polish I knew I was going to like and one that really surprised me.
I started with NYX Royal Blue, a dark blue (I wouldn't call it royal blue, it's darker, more like ink) polish I thought to be a creme/jelly hybrid. After I applied it (two thicker coats) I realised it's filled with a very subtle blue shimmer that gives it so much more depth than I expected.
On top of Royal Blue I applied one dabbed coat of GlimmerbyErica Ethereal. "It has a blue and yellow micro fine glitter base with slightly larger blue and yellow hexes and even bigger blue, green and yellow hexes. The yellow is true yellow, not gold."
(Source: GlimmerbyErica)
Application was easy, even with the bigger hexes. I finished with one coat of Nail Pattern Boldness Glitter Food and one coat of Sally Hansen Insta-Dri for a glassy smooth finish.
The original version of Ethereal I'm showing here was a limited edition and is long gone. But after popular request Erica mixed a new version that is still available, along with other gorgeous polishes, on Etsy.
Love your post, wonderful.
