Save A Life

Another delicate looking mani today: WingDust Collections Save a Life.

"Save a Life is a purple creme base with lots of aqua and white and purple hex in different sizes... It is very sheer but will apply opaque in 3-4 coats or can be layered over another colour."
(Source: WingDustCollections)

In my pictures the base looks more pink than purple, but this one is kind of "color changing", depending on the light it looks more pink or more lilac. I used three coats and Save a Life still wasn't  completely opaque, but in my eyes this polish needs this shlightly translucent look to show it's beauty. I finished with one coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails Top Sealer.

And in case you're wondering about the name of this polish:
"Save a Life: This is named for the Save a Life program at Project Zambia, which we had the privilege to help with while we there at the base. It is a feeding program that takes in mal-nurished children and provides them with formula and nutrients that they would otherwise not have access to. Each Tuesday the mothers and their children walk to the clinic, sometimes walking for hours, to come and have porridge, get weighed, enjoy some singing and a bible story, and a lesson on hygiene. This amazing program has given hope to mothers and to children who were in desperate need of it, giving mothers valueable insight into caring properly for their children and saving some children from death."

  2. Pretty! And the story behind the name makes this nail polish even more appealing, very cool.

P.S.: I am celebrating my blog birthday today and am giving away beauty products, come have a look on the blog :-D
