26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Pattern On Pattern Or Double Stamping

Pattern on pattern or double stamping are asked for this week's 26 great nail art ideas.

I started with three coats of Colors By Llarowe Bad (of their Michael Jackson collection, who's 60 birthday would have been this week), a duochrome shimmer shifting from a steel blue to purple. The duochrome effect is quite camera shy, but I can assure you, IRL it was clearly visible.

For the stampings I used white Born Pretty Store stamping polish, Barry M. Silver foil and two patterns from the DRK-D plate. As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Evil Witch

Evil Witch is today's polish, and it's by The Polish Well.

Evil Witch has a forest green jelly base filled with green hex and square glitters plus gold and copper microglitter. I used three coats and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

It seems like sadly The Polish Well polishes are no longer available.

Storytelling For A Penny

After this hot and dry summer, I spent saturday night at an open air concert wishing I wore my winter jacket, it was freezing... So I guess it's time to wear my fall polishes ;-)

My base color is ILNP Storytelling. "Storytelling is a sultry dark purple polish thoroughly laced with red shimmers, a kiss of gold flakes, and an incredible array of holographic magic for a beautiful scattered sparkle." (Source: ILNP) I used three thin coats of this lovely polish for complete opacity. This one is a really interesting polish, the base is a blue toned purple, but the red shimmer gives it a warm look, nontheless.

For the stamping I used Essie Penny Talk and ÜberChic plate 1-03, then I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly Op Top.

ILNP polishes are available on Etsy, Hypnotic Polish, Harlow & Co. and at their own shop.

Nail Crazies Unite: Superheroes/Villains

This week, the Nail Crazies Unite want to see superheroes or villains.  My favorite superhero is Batman, but actually, I'm more of a Marvel girl, so I went with my favorite Marvel hero, Wolverine.

The polishes I used are Color Club Revvvolution, Barry M. Silver Foil, Essie Brooch The Subject and Born Pretty Store white and red stamping polish. The mani includes clawmarks and Logan's white Zimmerli Tank Top (a Swiss brand, did you know that?). As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

A Star's Orbit

As you might know, I've been a Sci Fi geek for as long as I can remember. When I hear the word "orbit", I immediatley think of Captaion James T. Kirk ordering Sulu or Checkov to maintain orbit around a planet. So of course I had to combine a polish called Orbit (by Picture Polish) with stars.

Orbit has a blurple base and is filled with myriads of small silver glitters. I used three coats for opacity. For the little stars, I used Barry M. Silver Foil and Sugar Bubbles plate SB 019. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the mani.

Picture Polish are available at  Harlow & Co., Pshiiit and their own shop (plus many more, here's a list of additional retailers).

Jotunheim

Happy Monday! Ok, I'm more like Garfield, I hate mondays, but well, as I can't change it is monday, I might as well just imagine I like mondays, so it seems less hard to start the week ;-I

Today's polish is Crows Toes' Jotunheim, a dark purple jelly polish with lots of small multichrome glitters changing from gold over green to blue, plus some slightly bigger gold holographic hex glitters. I used three coats and added one generous coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for a smooth finish.

Crows Toes polishes are available at their own store (US only), Femme Fatale Cosmetics, Color4Nails. Sadly Jotunheim doesn't seem to be available anymore.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: Silhouette Scene

Silhouette Scene is this week's challenge theme. I really love this type of mani, so here's mine.

For the sunset background, I sponged a gradient using pale yellow, light blue and royal blue Born Pretty Store stamping polishes over a white base. For the stamping I used black Born Pretty Store stamping polish and Bundle Monster plate BM-S187. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top protected the mani.

Hoodies, Leaves, and S'Mores!

We had some rain in the last couple of days, but as I mentioned a couple of weeks ago, a long heatwave made a lot of trees turn brown or even lose their leaves already. Maybe that's the reason I reached for this gorgeous fall color...

Hoodies, Leaves, and S'Mores! by Pahlish has an olive green jelly base and is filled with gold and copper flakie glitters. I used three coats for opactiy and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Pahlish polishes are available on their own shop and at Overall Beauty.
