Pond Mani is this week's challenge theme, and here comes mine.





I kept it very simple, just alternating one coat of a lilac jelly polish (I used Nfu-Oh JS-13) and white stamped cherry blossom twigs (Born Pretty Store stamping polish and MoYou London plate Flower Power Collection 06), plus one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top as finishing move.

Too Cold To Hold

Too Cold To Hold is the name of today's polish. Since march has been rather cold this year in Switzerland, the name seems quite fitting...










This polish has a sheer blue jelly base filed with a myriad of blue hex glitters in various shades and sizes, some of them holographic. I used three coats for opacity. Due to the mani glitters this polish dries very gritty. I used two coats of KBShimmer Clearly On Top and it still felt a little sandy...

Nail Crazies Unite: Sweet Fruit

Sweet fruit is this week's challenge theme. I went with watermelons.





For this design, I used L'Oréal Chrome Shine 347, MoYou London Winter Green, Green Born Pretty Store stamping polish and Essence Black Is Back, plus a nail art brush and a dotting tool (and of course, one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Little Glacier Snowflakes

With spring starting tomorrow, a snowflake mani might seem a little late, but that's what I was wearing during my skiing holidays the week before last (and besides that, it has been snowing the whole day yesterday here in Switzerland...)





My base color is ILNP My Little Glacier (H), a multichrome holo shifting from silver to blue. For the snowflake stamping I used China Glaze Little Drummer Boy and ÜberChic plate Christmas-01 (the one I used was the negative pattern). As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

26 Great Nail Art Ideas: French With A Twist

French with a twist is this week's challenge theme. I'm not really into the "no-polish" look (that's why I've been wearing nail polish on a daily basis for the last 20 years...), so I went with a little more unusual colors with this one.





My base color is Color Club Snakeskin, a foil polish that looks somewhat green, gold or gunmetal grey, depending on the lighting. For the french tips I used Born Pretty Store black stamping polish and Bundle Monster plate BM-17. As usual, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

(In case you're wondering, the ink on my fingers is Robert Oster Fire And Ice, and yes, it's acetone resistant...)

Purple Stamping

Some purple for today.





My base color is Pahlish The Human Superpower, a deep eggplant purple holo. I used three thin coats for opacity.





For the stamping I used Barry M. Lilac Foil and ÜberChic plate 1-02. One coat of KBShimmer protected the stamping.

The Human Superpower is no longer produced, but other Pahlish polishes are available on their own shop and at Overall Beauty.

Nail Crazies Unite: Rainbow Water Marble

This week's challenge theme is rainbow water marble. I was somewhat scared of this theme, because water marbelling is a technique I just can't do right. I tried a couple of times now, but I just suck at it. Well, here we go (I cheated a little and picked up the water marble with a stamper to transfer it on the nails. Didn't work much better this way...).





I used very sheer polishes over a white base (two coats of Essence Wild White Ways), Essie Silk Watercolor in Blush Stroke, Muse Myself, Point Of Blue and No Shrinking Violet,OPI Landscape Artist and Essence Ice Cream Party), three colors on each nail. Of course, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

The Fifth Element

The Fifth Element is not only a fantastic movie, it's also the name of today's polish.






 The Fifth Element has a turquoise crelly base with red, blue and silver holographic hexes in various sizes. I used three coats and added one generous coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top for a smooth finish.

Emily de Molly polishes are available on Etsy and at their own shop (Australia only) and at a lot of international stockists. Sadly, The Fifth Element seems to be discontinued, I couldn't find it in the shops anymore.
