Snowcap over Sanssouci
It's the end of february, and we still didn't have a real winter here in Switzerland, so I'm bringing the snowflakes on my nails...
As base color I used Catrice L'Ombre de Sanssouci (Rock-o-co Limited Edition), a dark grey satin matte polish. Two coats were enough for opacity.
On top of L'Ombre de Sanssouci I dabbed one coat of Femme Fatale Shimmering Snowcap, a clear based glitter topper with white hexes, squares, bars and diamonds in various sizes and iridescent suqares. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.
Femme Fatale polishes are available at their shop, Harlow & Co. , Norway Nails and Color4Nails.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Fashion
Fashion is this week's challenge theme. This was quite hard for me, since I'm not really into fashion, I'm a total jeans-and-sneakers-gal. So I googled fashion inspired manis and stumbled upon this post by Lacquered Bits I really liked. So I took it as inspiration and dedicated my challenge mani to Michael Kors' burgundy red coat.
I applied two coats of OPI Skyfall, a burgundy red creme. For the stamping I used Picture Polish G'Day Matte (a matte topcoat) and UberChic plate 1-03. No topcoat of course, it would have destroyed the matte stamping. As you probably can imagine, it's not too easy to stamp with a clear and therefor almost invisible polish. I chose the new black/blue Creative Shop stamper I bought at What's Up Nails, since it got a very shiny surface and I could see the pattern from an angle.

The Refraction of Light AND Born Pretty Store Water Decals
Born Pretty Store sent me these lovely water decals for reviewing purposes, thank you so much!
On my thumb, index and pinkie finger, I applied three coats of Cadillacquer The Refraction Of Light. This polish has a dusky blue jelly base with grey and green undertones, and iridescent flakies in it.
On my middle and ring finger, I applied the water decals over a white base (two coats of Essie Blanc). The decals come in a single sheet without any pre-formed cutouts, so you have to cut them yourself. Application was easy, just soak the decal in warm water (remove the clear protection foil first), slide it from the white protection paper, apply it to the damp nail, pat it dry with some tissue and topcoat it.I added one coat of KBShimmer Cleary On Top to protect the decals (and the polish).
You can get the sheet of water decals here for 1.42$, there are two different patterns available.
Cadillacquer polishes are available at Hypnotic Polish and at Harlow & Co. If you live in Switzerland you can also order the polishes directly from Madeleine (Miss Cadillacquer herself) via Email on her Blog.

The water decals were offered for reviewing purposes. Again, thank you very much, Born Pretty Store!

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Red
Red is this week's color, and my personal prompt is pattern on pattern.
My base color is Catrice Allure (Thrilling Me Softly Limited Edition), a cherry red jelly with a subtle shimmer. This one's quite sheer, three coats were barely enough for opacity.
For the double pattern I used Essence stamping polish in silver and P2 Eternal, the stamping plates are UberChic Beauty 1-03 and LilyAnna 02. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the mani. I'm not quite sure if this mani reminds me more of ladybugs or Minnie Mouse, what do you think?

As Long As You Love The Fated Prince
Three different greys for today's mani.
On my pinkie and index finger I used a England Fated Prince, an anthracite grey holo with brown undertones, on my other fingers Essence As Long As You Love Me (Beauty Beats Limited Edition), a cement grey shimmer, three coats each.
Over the Essence Polish I stamped with a England Dorian Grey and UberChic plate 1-02. I tried to stamp with Fated Prince, but it wasn't opaque enough. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.
aEngland polishes are available at various places, you'll find a complete list of retailers here.

40 Great Nail Art Ideas: Love
Two days before Valentine's Day, this weeks challenge theme is, of course, love.
I expect most of the other gals to go with red or pink, so I decided to use a different color scheme. My base color is Elevation Polish Jengish Chokusu, a tiffany blue creme. It dries very glossy, the picture shows three coats without topcoat.
The stamping plates I used are Bundle Monster BM-H16, BM-H18 and BM-620, I stamped with Elevation Polish Mutzagh Ata. On my middle finger, I used decals I stamped on my Ubermat using China Glaze Exotic Encounters, filled out with Mutzagh Ata. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished the mani.
Elevation Polish are available at their own store .
