A Box, Indied - Slavegirl Bikini

The next polish of the may "A Box, Indied" is called Slavegirl Bikini by Contrary Polish (who could ever forget the sight of Princess Leia in her golden bikini...)

Slavegirl Bikini is a classic red jelly with tiny golden holographic glitter particles. I used three coats on my ring finger, middle finger and thumb. On my other fingers I used three coats of Pretty Serious Turbo Boost, a dark purple, more or less black jelly with small red bar glitters (like the red light on KITTs front...). I also used Turbo Boost over Slavegirl Bikini for a french mani. As always, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top as a finishing step.

Contrary Polish are available at Llarowe, Femme Fatale, Mei Mei's SignaturesNorway Nails and Rainbow Connection (UK only). Slavegirl Bikini is exclusive to the may "A Box, Indied". The box with five indie polishes is available at Llarowe as a one month only box or as subscription (50$ per box).

A Box, Indied - Saber This!

It's time for the may "A Box, Indied", with a Star Wars theme. The first polish I want to show you is Glisten&Glow Saber This!

Saber This! is a glowing in the dark light blue polish with iridescent shimmer flakie particles. The formula is a little thicker and applies somewhat irregulary, due to the fluorescent pigment in it. After two coats, it gets quite even, the pictures show three coats.

For the flowers, I used DRK stamping plate DRK-D and aEngland Tristam. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top provided a shiny finish.

Glisten & Glow polishes are available at their own store, Llarowe, Color4Nails, Rainbow Connection and Overall Beauty. Saber This! is exclusive to the may "A Box, Indied". The box is available at Llarowe as one-month-only or as subscription ($50 per box).

52 Week Challenge - Patchwork / Bright and Happy

For this week's challenge mani I decided to stick with just one of the themes: bright and happy.

I started with a white base (Essie Blanc) and used Catrice Earnie & Birdie (yellow), Catrice Virgin Forest (green), Essie Size Matters (red) and Essie Hide & Go Chic (blue) for a dry brush mani. One coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top finished this mani.

Blue Monday

When I applied this polish called Blue Monday, I just knew I had to show you this one on a monday...

Blue Monday has a cerulean blue jelly base filled with white hexes and squares, blue hexes and tiny silver holo sparkles. I used three coats and added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top. As you might guess from my pictures, the surface wasn't completely smooth, so a second layer of topcoat wouldn't have hurt.

Gloss n' Sparkle polishes are available at their own store (Australia only), at Femme Fatale Cosmetics and at Edgy Polish. Blue Monday is an older shade and has been discontinued.

Where The Wild Things Are

Where The Wild Things Are is the name of today's polish, and it's by the swiss indie brand Cadillacquer.

Where The Wild Things Are has a slightly blue toned jelly base filled with golden shimmer, plus silver holographic and iridescent hex and square glitters. I used three coats and finished with one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

Where The Wild Things Are is no longer available, but a lot of other Cadillacquer polishes are available at Hypnotic Polish, at Llarowe and at Harlow & Co. The Bigcartel shop seems to be closed, but if you live in Switzerland you can also order the polishes directly from Madeleine (Miss Cadillacquer herself) via Email on her Blog.

Peace (H)

Today I want to show you another of my ILNP Ultrachromes, the holo version of Peace.

"Depending on the light and angle of your fingertips, Peace (H) will magically shift through vivid hues of blue, purple, fuchsia, pink, and even a subtle coppery gold.

The vibrancy of Peace (H) is something you have to see in person to believe! This polish is so beautifully perfect, it’s almost guaranteed to be a distraction to you and the people around you. Oh well! :)"
(Source: ILNP)

For the stamping I used aEngland Camelot and Pueen plate 83. As always, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top.

An this is how this mani looked like on day 8 (yes, eight). Sorry for the crappy cell phone picture, but I guess you'll see what I mean...

ILoveNailpolish are available on Etsy and at their own shop.

52 Week Challenge - Pastels / Lilac and Teal

This week's challenge themes are pastels and lilac and teal.

For this blobbicure I used Hits No Olympo Hera (teal holo base) and Essence Mauve-llous Fairy (Hidden Stories Limited Edition, lilac glitter blobbs). As always, I added one coat of KBShimmer Clearly On Top as finishing move.
